Some of them were already in Poland, due a review of US military stockpiles that suggested that the country is running low on ammunition for its own troops. This included defense interceptors and ammunition. Russia has been escalating its attacks on Ukraine. This surprised the war-stricken country. It was mentioned that Trump was aware of the escalations at the frontlines and in cities. Kyiv and Moscow only resumed talks on May 16th and June 2nd, with the only results being prisoner exchanges. However, it said that it was “preferable” to achieve its goals through political and diplomatic means, but as long as they couldn’t do that, the war would continue.
